Letter: Red Barn Bar-B-Q is open - in Tompkinsville, KY

The RESTAURANT SCENE
Plan is still to reopen in Columbia: Gary and Marketta Durbree are barbecuing on South Main ST in Tompkinsville, KY the capitol of Monroe County but Marketta says that when the T-ville operation is running smoothly, Gary will be back to start rebuilding in Columbia, KY, where a fire on Sunday morning, December 14, 2008, destroyed Adair County's only Monroe County-style barbecue restaurant

Hi, Ed,

This is Marketta. I have been meaning to sit down and email you to let you know what's going on.

We have re-opened but in Tompkinsville. There was a building here that had a BBQ in it that was closing down due to the fact that the one running it was having health issues... so we are now open for business in Tompkinsville...same name, Red Barn Bar-B-Q.

Gary said as soon as we get this one running smoothly he is coming back up there to start work on our building. I had promised to let you know.

Sorry its a bit late, but we have been doing a lot of running so we could get back in business.

Please let everyone know that we are back in business and hope to see our customers--also known as our friends.

Our Red Barn Bar-B-Q is at 313 S. Main ST, Tompkinsville, KY. Open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10:00am until 8:00pmCT. Phone (270) 487-9000. Missing everyone!!!!!!

s/Marketta and Gary
