Stabbing incident results in warrants for attempted murder

Sunday altercation at Hawk's Place in Marion County results in injuries requiring airlift to UL for two combatants. KSP Columbia Post 15 Detective Mike Dubree continuing investigation.

MARION COUNTY, KY: At approximately 1223amCT, Sunday, May 24, 2009. KSP Post 15 in Columbia, KY, received a call of a stabbing at Hawks Place in Marion County.

William Bennington, age 45, New Haven and Johnny Lanham, age 46, New Hope were involved in a verbal altercation whch escalated into a stabbing.



William Bennington was stabbed in the abdomen and was flown to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment.

Anthony Michalski attempted to break the two subjects up and was involved in a physical altercation with Lanham, resulting in Lanham receiving a laceration to the eye area.

Lanham was also flown to the University of Louisville Hospital for treatment from this altercation. Warrants were obtained on Lanham for attempted murder.

The investigation is continuing by Detective Mike Dubree.
