Obituary: Woodrow Blaydes, 96, Columbia, KY Mr. Blaydes had played a prominent and honored role in the affairs of the community for many decades. He an active and faithful member of the Columbia-Union Presbyterian Church for 84 years, a member and past Master of Columbia Lodge 96, and was retired from the US Postal Service after 32 years of service Woodrow Blaydes, 96, of Columbia, KY, died Thursday, May 21, 2009, at 8:12pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital in Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at 11:00amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with Dr. Robert Doty officiating. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery, 1276 Liberty RD, Columbia, KY. Visitation will be from 4:00pm to 8:00pmCT, Monday, May 25, 2009. The Masonic Service will be at 7:00pmCT, Monday, May 25, 2009, conducted by Columbia Lodge 96. He was the son of the late George and Lucy Murrell Blaydes and was also preceded in death by four sisters, Montrie Keltner, Alice Keltner, Anna Keltner, and Mary Antle. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Mary (Edna) Blaydes, Columbia, KY, and the following:
