Commencement Exercises for the Adair County High School Class of 2009 are Friday evening, May 22,, at 7:00pmCT at the ACHS Gymnasium, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY.
Profiles for the 184 member class follow:
- John Landan Abell is the 17 year old son of John and Rhonda Abell. After graduation he plans to join the Air Force.
- Roger David Abner is the 17 year old son of Roger and Anita Abner. His involvement during high school includes STLP, Pep Club, Upward Bound, Yearbook, and Science Club. After graduation he plans to attend Western Kentucky University to major in Information Technology and then pursue a career in computer repair.
- Brittany Shay Bailey is the 17 year old daughter of Susan and Larry Bailey.
- Cody Dillion Bailey is the 18 year old son of Sharon Bailey and Rick Bailey. His involvement during high school includes Pep Club and FCA. After graduation he plans to attend Somerset Technical College.
- Marteneque Nicole Bailey is the 18 year old daughter of Eddie and Lynne Darnell of Columbia and the granddaughter of Jobe Darnell and the late Joann Darnell of Columbia. Her involvements during high school includes FFA (4 years) and Horse Judging in which she was awarded 1st place individual during the WKU field day this year along with many other awards. After graduation she plans to attend Western Kentucky University and pursue a career of an Equine Veterinarian
- Darren Christopher Ballou is the 18 year old son of Anthony and Anna Ballou. After graduation he plans to attend Morehead State University.
- Tiffany Lynn Ballou is the 18 year old daughter of Tim and Tonya Ballou. After graduation she plans to become a health care administrator or a cosmetologist.
- Jaireka Annita Shirley Barnett is the 17 year old daughter of Jeff and Annita Dial Barnett. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.
- Linae Ann Baxter is the 18 year old daughter of Linae Rice and Gary Baxter. Her involvement during high school includes FBLA (three years, Vice President for two years), and SADD/Champions, and she was named to Whos Who Among American High School Students (two years).

After graduation she plans to attend cosmetology school and later advance in to makeup artistry and continue to be a part of colorguard by teaching or assisting.

- Paul Lee Bray is the 17 year old son of Bobby and Deedra Bray. His involvement in high school includes Chorus (Accompanist, Vocalist), STLP, Student Council, and Pep Club. After graduation he plans to attend Campbellsville University to major in Music Education.
- Brittany Danielle Brown is the 18 year old daughter of Jackie and Chris Judd and Joe and Chris Brown. Her involvement during high school includes Chorus and SADD/Champions. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Human Services.
- Christopher Alan Brown is the 18 year old son of James Brown and Regena Kean. After graduation he plans to join the Air Force.

- Chad Steven Bruederle is the 18 year old son of Dawn and Bobbie Basil and Pam and Allen Trent. After graduation he plans to attend college and become a state trooper.
- Chandler Elizabeth Burkett is the 17 year old daughter of Heather and Lee Burkett. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Horse Judging Awards 2005, 2006, 2007, Notebook Awards). Her honors include being named to Whos Who Among American High School Students and receiving Proficient and Distinguished on the CATS assessment. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College and become a special education teacher.
- Richard Douglas Burress
- Kisha Michelle Burton is the 17 year old daughter of Gene and Cathy Burton. Her involvement during high school includes Band (three state championships, two national championships, one regional championship, a most improved award, multiple honors bands, and several distinguished solos and ensembles), Pep Club, NHS, Beta Club, and Yearbook. Kishas honors also include scoring Distinguished on all four areas of the CATS assessment. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in English.
- Nicole Leanne Burton is the 18 year old daughter of Christee Burton. Her involvement during high school includes Chorus (three years) and Drama (two years). After graduation she plans to attend Western Kentucky University.
- Jordan Blake Caldwell is the 18 year old son of Linda Grider and Roger Caldwell. His involvement during high school includes STLP, Baseball (two years), and Football (one year). After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Business Management.
- Cameron Michael Campbell is the 17 year old son of John and Shirley Campbell. His involvement during high school includes Future Problem Solving (Third Place International Individual, First Place State Individual), NHS (President), Science Club (President), Beta Club, Student Council, STLP, and FCA, and he was also named a 2008 Governors Scholar. After graduation he plans to attend Campbellsville University.
- Harold Douglas Campbell is the 19 year old son of Sonya and Jerry Campbell. His involvement during high school includes FFA (Tractor Driving contest). After graduation he plans to enter the workforce.
- Jacey Danielle Cary is the 17 year old daughter of Jay Cary and Jerry and Kricket Atwood. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (numerous awards, Talent Contest), Basketball, and Volleyball (numerous awards). After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Nursing and to become a registered nurse.
- Allison Gale Chafin is the 18 year old daughter of Gerald and Sonja Chafin. Her involvement during high school includes Senior Class Secretary, NHS (Secretary), Tennis (First Seed), Beta Club, and French Horn Section Leader (8th through 11th grades), and she was named a 2008 Governors Scholar. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Mathematics.
- Brittney Nichole Chumbley is the 18 year old daughter of Dennis and Frankie Chumbley. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Education.
- Bethany Lauren Coffey is the 18 year old daughter of Kay and Roger Coffey. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (four years). After graduation she plans to attend college.

After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College, cheer, and major in Accounting.
- Matthew Thomas Compton is the 18 year old son of Jerry and Cindy Compton. His involvement during high school includes Pep Club, STLP, Soccer (Sportsmanship and Best Offensive Player Awards). After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College and the University of Kentucky.
- Kathryn Willis Conoveris the 18 year old daughter of Brad and Sandy Conover. Her involvement during high school includes Marching Band (four years, three State Championship and two National Championships) and FCA. After graduation she plans to attend college to become a speech pathologist.
- Shae Marie Coomer is the 18 year old daughter of Delmas Coomer and Lisa Coomer. Her involvement during high school includes Pep Club and Peer Tutoring. After graduation she plans to attend Somerset Community College to major in Physical Therapy.

Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Treasurer, numerous awards), and she was named to Whos Who Among American High School Students. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College and to become a registered nurse.
- Amy Lawayne Crockett is the 18 year old daughter of Desra and Wayne Crockett. Her involvement during high school includes Marching Band (2005 BOA National Champions and 2005 KMEA State Champions) and Drama. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Human Services and Counseling and minor in Psychology.

After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Biology and then attend the University of Kentucky to receive a degree in Physical Therapy.
- Zachary Tyler Curry is the 18 year old son of Randy and Kelly Curry. His involvement during high school includes FFA (four years). After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.
- Nicholas Adam Damaschke is the 18 year old son of Jennifer and Michael Damaschke. His involvement during high school includes vocational welding (three years, Third Place at Lake Cumberland ATC Regional Welding Sculpture Contest) and Skills USA (three years).

Her involvement during high school includes Marching Band (KMEA State Marching Band Championships, BOA National and Regional Championships, numerous honors bands), NHS, Beta Club, FCA, and Pep Club, and she was named to Whos Who Among American High School Students. After graduation she plans to attend Georgetown College to major in Engineering.
- Andrew Aaron Ferguson is the 18 year old son of Jimmy and Christina Ferguson. His involvement during high school includes Yearbook, FCA, STLP, and Pep Club. After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.
- Joshua Lynn Ford is the 18 year old son of Degary and Cindy Ford. His involvement during high school includes FFA. After graduation he plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.

- Nickolas Ryne Fudge is the 18 year old son of Mark and Denise Fudge. His involvement during high school includes Basketball (Fifth Region Tournament MVP, 2007 All State Tournament Team, All District, All Region, Ralph Beard Spirit Award), FCA, Beta Club, NHS, and Pep Club. He has also been voted Mr. Freshman, Mr. Sophomore, Mr. Junior, and Mr. ACHS. After graduation he plans to attend Transylvania University and play basketball.
- Rebecca Sue Fugate is the 18 year old daughter of Casey and Elizabeth Fugate. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Freshmen Star Greenhand, Junior FFA Officer for two years, Chapter FFA Quiz Contest, Chapter FFA Seed ID) and Pep Club. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.

After graduation she plans to attend Campbellsville University where she will continue to play golf.

After Graduation he plans to attend Somerset Community College.
- Hillary Lyn Hutchison is the 18 year old daughter of Mark and Sheri Hutchison. Her involvement during high school includes Marching Band (three KMEA State Championships, two BOA National Championships, and one BOA Regional Championship), Pep Club (four years), FCA (four years), and Sophomore Class Treasurer. After Graduation she plans to attend Western Kentucky University and Stanford Pharmacy School.
- Amy Leah Irvin is the 17 year old daughter of Bradley and Sandra Irvin. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Notebook Award, Academic Award, Scrapbook Superior), Cheerleading (KAPOS All Academic Award, 110% AwardJunior Year, Leadership AwardSenior Year), Pep Club, and FCA. Amys honors include receiving the Math Award and being named the 2009 Basketball Homecoming Queen. After graduating she plans to attend Western Kentucky University to major in Pre-Physical Therapy and then attend the University of Kentucky or Bellarmine University to become a physical therapist.

- Zachary Robert Janes is the 18 year old son of Tricia Janes. His honors during high school include having perfect attendance. After graduation he plans to join the Air Force for a career in Computer Technology.
- Samantha Jo Michelle Jessie is the 18 year old daughter of David and Holly Jessie. After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College.

His involvement during high school includes Marching Band (five years, three State Championships and two Class A National Championships), STLP, and serving as Freshman Class Vice President. After graduation he plans to attend Transylvania University to study Music Technology and Computer Science.

Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Shop Award, Teachers Assistant Award, Floriculture Award, First Place in Floriculture Judging at WKU, Scholastic Award, Notebook Award). After graduation she plans to attend Lindsey Wilson College to major in Biology, attend Eastern Kentucky to achieve a degree in Anthropology, and then attend the University of Tennessee to achieve a degree in Forensic Anthropology.
- Jessica Jonessa Lacy is the 18 year old daughter of Gerry and Martha Lacy. Her involvement during high school includes FFA (Notebook Award, Quiz Bowl Award, and Talent Show Award), Pep Club, and Indian Trust Bank (President). After graduation she plans to attend Western Kentucky University to major in Business Economics.
- Joshua Hoyt LaFond is the 18 year old son of Glenn and Susanne LaFond. His Involvement during high school includes Football (Second Team All District) and Track and Field. After graduation he plans to attend college and become a teacher or, if possible, enter the NFL.

After graduation he plans to attend Berea College to major in Philosophy and History.

After graduation she plans to attend Western Kentucky University to major in Agribusiness.
