Obituary: Louise Ray Garmon, 68, Glasgow, KY

Mrs. Garmon was a native of Metcalfe County

Louise Ray Garmon, 68, Glasgow, KY, died May 6,2009, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.

The funeral service will be at 1:00pmCT, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY. Burial will be in the Moore Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00pm Noon until 8:00pmCT, Friday, May 8, 2009, and after 9:00amCT, Saturday, May 9, 2009, at the funeral home.



She was born February 2, 1941 in Metcalfe County, KY, the daughter of the late Chester Edward Garrett and Leether Edith Parrigin Garrett.

Mrs. Garmon was retired from Dana Corporation in Glasgow, KY.

She is survived by the following:
  • One son, Tony (Sara) Garmon, Edmonton, KY

  • One brother: Wilbert Garrett, Center, KY

  • Three sisters: Geneva (Charles) Wilson, Glasgow, KY; Hazel Garrett, Edmonton, KY; and Shirley Dowell, Sulphur Well, KY

  • Grandsons: Jason Garmon, Edmonton, KY; and Brian Garmon, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Granddaughter: Brandy Garmon, Summer Shade, KY

  • Great granddaughters: Land and Libyanna Garmon, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Great grandson: Jordon Garmon, Summer Shade, KY

  • Step great grand children: Logan and Lydia Skaggs, Elizabethtown, KY

  • Also, one niece and several nephews survive
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Ricky Lee Garmon and one sister, Jeanette Compton.
Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
