Thinks speeding truck on Burkesville ST could ram courthouse

About: Cars must be topping 60mph on Burkesville ST

Ed,

In response to issue of the traffic on Burkesville St.. the one who wrote about the speeding on our street is correct I have lived at my address on Burkesville Street in Columbia for the past 15 years and it has always been terrible.

But since the new Walmart has gone in and they opened up the new part of the road the speeding is much worse.

The big trucks have so much speed that I''m affraid that they will lose their brakes and go straight through the courthouse. Why wait for that possibility, when it could be avoided.

There is a highway marker about 15 feet from where I park my car in my drive. It has been knocked down twice in the time I have lived there, all because of speeding.

Hope there is something they can do.

s/Sheila Hare
