KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, activity report for April, 2009 Eight fatalities, five of them total in Adair, Casey and Metcalfe, raise 2009 traffic death count in KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, area to 20 compared to 16 year ago. Statewide, fatality count is 229 through April 2009, up three for year By Tpr. Billy Gregory, Public Affairs Officer Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY During the month of April, 2009, there were 51 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were eight fatalities:
State wide fatality count stands at 229 compared with 226 through this same period in 2008. During the month of March, 2009, there were 1070 citations written, 207 courtesy notices written, 1766 vehicles inspected, 999 complaints answered, 94 motorists assisted, 84 criminal cases opened and 180 criminal arrests made.
