Obituary: Lloyd Burton, 77, Columbia, KY

Mr. Burton was a member of a large, respected Adair County family. He was an auto mechanic, a US Army veteran, and attended Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church

Lloyd Burton, 77, Columbia, KY, died Friday, May 1, 2009, at 4:45pmCT, at Taylor Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Campbellsville, KY.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at 11:00amCT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, with burial in Bearwallow Cemetery, 6080 Liberty Road, Columbia, KY in the Christine Community on KY 206. Visitation will be after 4:00pm, Monday, May 4, 2009, at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late James Aaron and Emma Burton, a US Army Veteran, and an auto mechanic. He attended Bloomington Chapel Brethren in Christ Church.

He is survived by the following:
  • Eight children: James, Ronald, and Donald Burton, all of Louisville, KY; Frankie Burton, and Donna Jean, Beverly Sue, Elizabeth and Carolyn, all of Columbia, KY
  • One sister, along with several grandchildren and other relatives
  • Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
