Writer says Common sense at CWB not enough; action needed Cites her own accident at CWB/KY 61 N. crossing in calling for a caution light or other change About: " Writer says using common sense would stop CBW crashes" To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I have to disagree, this intersection is very confusing and dangerous. I had a terrible accident there about three months ago, and it was simply an accident. The state trooper working my accident told me that he had also ran the stop sign twice himself, in broad daylight. Lots of others have also shared the story of running the new stop signs and were just very lucky that no other cars were coming. What would a caution light or stop light hurt? I mean, really, it might save a life. I really don't think you can say that every accident that has happened there is because the driver had no common sense. We have traveled the roads for several of years and this is a very big change, and the stop signs are very hard to see when you are coming up the rise from Downey's Sawmill toward the school. really think that something needs to be done before somebody loses their life. s/Misty May This story was posted on 2009-04-29 21:50:10
