The WONDERFUL OLD ABANDONED RED SIDING HOUSE in the photo is located near Glensfork, KY on the Old Glensfork RD. Caleb Irvin writes, adding, "The house belonged to Talbot and Sadie Booher. Loreta (Ballou) Adams who is the grandmother of Luci Conover used to spend the night when she was a young girl with their daughter, Shirley Booher Loy at the same house. They were friends and both attended Zion school." Luci Conover, Columbia, KY, is the model in the photo, and is a student at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY, as is the remarkably talented photographer and fellow Columbian, Caleb Irvin.

IT'S SPRING AND THE FISHING IS GREAT AT GREEN RIVER LAKE! Terry Partin and friend Wade Spencer were enjoying fishing at its best, Saturday afternoon, April 25, 2009, on Green River Lake. Wade, an avid outdoorsman,is a well known Gospel music artist who will be back in Columbia, KY on Sunday, August 23, 2009, tosing at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, 2630 Jones Chapel Road, Columbia, KY. The crappie averaged around 1.5 pounds; along with several others caught Saturday, they went into the freezer for the Great Jones Chapel Fish Fry, which will be announced soon.

HUGE RUSSELL CO., KY CATFISH "It took Bub Polston about twenty minutes to reel in this 52 pound flat head catfish over in Russell County last weekend at Lily Creek Pay Lake," writes Greg Thomas, who submitted this photo, and added this commentary on the feat, "He didn't catch as many fish as his fishing partner Marshall Juddm but he did catch the biggest ones."
