Dogwoods honor memory of Effie Heskamp, Nancy Hamilton Click on headline for story with two photos By Vonnie Kolbenschlag Some of the members of the Columbia Woman's Club celebrated Earth Day by dedicating two Dogwood trees in memory of two members: Effie Heskamp and Nancy Hamilton. Effie's tree is on the campus of Lindsey Wilson College near the back of the Administration Building. Nancy's Dogwood is at the side of the Adair County Public Library near the bench installed by Friends of the Library. The Columbia Woman's Club thanks Taft Neal for planting the tree on the LWC campus and Ginny and Ron Heath for planting the tree at the library. This story was posted on 2009-04-27 21:21:43
