Old Coddger makes plea for natives to be Brothers' Keepers

General obserservation specifically for the "Man on the Tractor Seat," Charles Marshburn, suggests looking out after Incomers until they graduate to being fully, Adair Assimilation Academy certified, born again natives and lose "Half-Back" status.

To ColumbiaMagazine.com

Judging from some of the comments made by some of our recent "Half-Backs" (*see below for definition), I believe some of the natives of Adair County are going to have to be dishing out a lot "larning" to keep the poor souls from "harming" or "starving" themselves.

*Half-Back- A persons from anywhere North of Adair County, who has lived in Florida and has now moved half-way back home, thus "He is "half-back", and found the paradise we have here.

Here's hoping we can pull' em through.

Old Coddger
Nom de plume of a known, kindly but self-perceived curmudgeon, who is a many generations, pioneer stock Adair Countian

OC: Thanks for invoking the Golden Rule concept. There is hope for all the tired, poor and -we take-rich-as-well - huddled masses yearning to breathe free, who reach these parts and see the welcome lamp raised at every golden door to Adair County, KY. Significantly, many, if not a majority, of Adair County public buildings which are named for individuals honor Born Again Adair Countians

For examples of the provocative, thought-provoking Epistles from the Man on a Tractor Seat, enter "Charles Marshburn" in the search box. On a majority of his issues, CM agrees with him. -EW
