LW Softball faces Georgetown today at Tiger Stadium Raiders in loser's bracket finals after falling 1-0 to Campbellsville By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director GEORGETOWN, KY - The Lindsey Wilson College softball team fell 1-0 to top-seeded Campbellsville (KY) University Friday, in the Mid-South Conference Softball Tournament at Tiger Stadium, in Campbellsville, KY. The Blue Raiders (26-18) fall into the loser's bracket to face host and No. 2-seed Georgetown (KY) College at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 25. Lindsey Wilson beat Georgetown 5-2 earlier in the day to send the Tigers into the loser's bracket. Lindsey Wilson sophomore pitcher Olivia Holland allowed just a first-inning run to suffer the hard-luck loss. Holland scattered eight hits in her complete-game effort. Campbellsville pitcher Allison Horton limited the Blue Raiders to just four hits in the complete-game shutout. Horton struck out 10 Lindsey Wilson hitters without allowing a walk. Lady Tiger designated player Erika Creek drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the first inning. That would be all Horton and the Lady Tigers would need.
