Adam Humphress wins FFA Region Star in Agribusiness award

By Whitney Kemp

Tuesday, April 21, at the Lake Cumberland Regional FFA Banquet, Adam Humphress was awarded the Lake Cumberland Region Star in Agribusiness Award.

This is one of the three highest awards which can be received at the Regional Level.

Adam will compete at State Level later this summer. He also received a Superior 1st in Welding (which was a team effort). His team will get to compete at State Level as well.

Adam is a senior at Adair County High School. His agriculture teachers/advisors are Terry Harvey and Kirby Hancock.

Plans to go into Fish & Wildlife or agriculture field

Adam plans to attend college, but he is unsure of the school at this time. But he is sure he would like to be affiliated with the Fish and Wildlife Department or some type of agriculture field.

Adadam has owned his own lawn care business for 3 years now.

He farms and works with his dad and cousin at H&B Construction.

We are very proud of Adam and all of his accomplishments! We wish him luck at State when competing for the Agribusiness Award, and also good luck to the Welding Team!
