Last night, the Band Dads worked late. On either side of the clock, ACHS Band Parents do more. Above, it was Dawn Patrol as they were up seeing the bus off for a Spring Break Tour of New York City in 2006, a trip made all the more memorable when the band made national television on Good Morning America, with fellow Kentuckian Diane Sawyer. Birds of KY: Ebenezer Robin family makes progress

GOD'S LITTLE CREATIONS: Judy Corbin gives this report on a closely watch little family at her home in the Ebenezer Community in Southern Green County, KY, not far from the exact geographic center of Kentucky's highly important Greensburg/Campbellsville/Columbia triangle. She writes, "I sent you the Momma Robin in the tree in my front yard, upper right and I think I sent you the nest of 3 eggs,lower right that we found on the Saturday before Easter. Today, April 24, 2009, when I checked the nest--I found these hatchlings. God's little creations!" Mrs. Robin is doing quite well, though it appears little Alpha, left, above, is already be a handful.

Reunion old WHAS buddies at Campbellsville

BYRON CRAWFORD, Kentucky's best known journalist, radio commentator and television host, was the speaker at Campbellsville University's Media Appreciation Luncheon, yesterday. With him above is a colleague from WHAS radio days, Southern Kentucky's best known radio personality, Larry Smith. Both remembered the late Caywood Ledford, one of the all-time legends of Kentucky broadcasting, as a role model. During his address, Byron Crawford told of his pride on learning that Ledford had nominated him for the Kentucky Journalism Hall of Fame before his death. Crawford was inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. Smith is the news director for Shoreline Communications, which owns and operates 92.7 the WAVE in Columbia/Russell Springs, and WVLK, The Big Dawg, in Campbellsville, KY.
