Floridian says he lives vicariously in Columbia, online And he and he wife will be here in person, someday, hopefully soon. They now own 55 acres of most beautiful land in Breeding, for their Adair County retirement Mr. Waggener: I wanted to express to you how much I enjoy Columbia magazine. If I don't read it everyday I am disappointed. My wife and I live in Ft. Myers / Lee County, Florida. We purchased bought 55 acres of the most beautiful property in Breeding. We have made several trips to Columbia, enjoyed a treat at the Dairy Dip and met Chief Harris. Our goal is to retire to Breeding and become a part of your wonderful community. I am vicariously living in Columbia right now by virtue of your online magazine. As a true full blood, born and bred, 3rd generation Florida "Cracker" would I be traitorous to my roots to leave palm trees for bluegrass? I think not. Thanks for another wonderful trip to Kentucky in your efforts. Sincerely,s/Mark R. Bess (Frogger to my friends) Thanks so much for your wonderful comments on ColumbiaMagazine! And we're so happy you've commented on some of our best - Chief Harris and The Dairy Dip. We look forward to your residency here, and will do everything we can to continue to merit your sense of the place. You won't be the first to fall in love with Adair County and you may even join a great group of people who moved here and became more native than the natives. -EW This story was posted on 2009-04-21 17:26:11
