Obituary: Linda Cooper, 68, Columbia, KY

Mrs. Cooper was a member of a respected South Adair County family. She was a member of Sparksville Baptis Church and had worked at Westlake Regional Hospital for 21 years

Linda Cooper, 68, 1964 Cane Valley Road, Columbia, Ky. passed away Monday, April 20, 2009 at 8:05am at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY after an illness.

The funeral service is Thursday, April 23, 2009 at 2:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 200 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Darrell Landis and Bro. Rickey Page the officiating clergy. Visitation will be after 3:00pmCT, Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the McClister Cemetery at Fairplay, KY.



She was born January 13, 1941, the daughter of the late Orbra and Euna Reliford Darnell and was the widow of Charles Cooper who preceded her in death on June 19, 2003.

She is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Teresa Cooper and Deanna Cooper, Columbia, KY

  • One son: Phillip Cooper, Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Jobe Darnell, Columbia, KY

  • Three sisters: Peggy Page and Phyllis Curry of Columbia, KY; and Beanie Green, of Glasgow, KY

  • Five grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
She was a member Sparksville Baptist Church and had worked at Westlake Regional Hospital in the housekeeping department for 21 years. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
