Judge Melton, AC PRIDE coordinators, send thanks

Judge Executive Ann Melton, PRIDE Coordinators A.L. Sinclair, Lisa Lee, and the Adair County Fiscal Court would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make Saturday a huge success.

Working together, great things can be accomplished.

This was the biggest turnout in the history of the program. So far, we've confirmed there were 420 volunteers and that 1,200 bags of trash was picked up. We still have paper work which has not been turned in yet from groups who helped, and that will increase, perhaps substantially, the numbers.

The success of the spring event was due to the residences of Adair County who take pride in their county. We had a new volunteer tell us that she had no idea how much fun it was to pick up trash, and how much doing so helped self-esteem, knowing that the work helps make Adair County roadsides look so much better.

This volunteer regretted not volunteering for earlier clean-ups.

I wish to take this time to thank all the merchants of Adair County and the employees who helped make this event such a success.

And, again, to everyone involved, thanks for making the spring clean up such a tremendous success.

We hope you'll keep up the good work, and enlist others for the Fall clean-up.

s/Ann Melton, Adair County Judge Executive
Lisa Lee and A.L. Sinclair, Adair County Pride Coordinators
and Adair Fiscal Court: Danny Goodin (1), Wid Harris (2), Sammy Baker (3), Perry Reeder (4), Billy Dean Coffey (5), Joe Rogers (6), and Terry Hadley (7)
