The biggest PRIDE clean up ever was held in Adair County, Saturday, April 18, 2009, and Pride Clean Sweep was held in Edmonton, KY.

Adair County had two separate clean-up efforts, both of which had huge turnouts. The City of Columbia has what appeared to be well over 100 volunteers starting from the parking lot at City Hall, 116 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY. They just got a rousing send-off from Mayor Pat Bell, who told the volunteers how proud he is of the remarks he hears every day about how clean Columbia is. "It's because of people like you," he said, and added, "after this morning, there will be an even cleaner Columbia to Bragg about."

Over at the Adair County Annex Building, CJE Ann Melton had the parking lot jammed with volunteer groups, who were registering and getting assignments. "We had over 500 pre-registrations," she said, "and there have been a great number of walk-ups in addition. It's been overwhelming," she said. Many of the volunteers had picked up supplies early, and weren't at the breakfast and send-off.

Both Adair County and the City of Columbia will have clean-up rallies after the work is done.
