The vote came in a day when the money in the bank thermometer at AdairBand.com rose to $75,200, an amount Band Booster Doyle Lloyd said included checks Adair Fiscal Court for $3,000 and from several members of the court for $300 in personal funds with additional donations including a $1,000 anonymous gift from a very public spirited Adair Countian.

"We're definitely on a streak," he said tonight after the well-attended meeting. During the meeting he was handed another check for $500 from another individual.

"We had five candidates," Mr. Treece said. "We think any of them would have done an outstanding job. Mr. Case comes with the endorsement of Mr. Allen," he said, and noted, "For band members in the audience, if there is anyone in the world who is a tougher disciplinarian than Mr. Allen, it's Mr. Case."
