For 3rd Year in a Row: Franklin Ford donates car for Awards day Click on Headline for full story, photo By Donna Owens, Curriculum Resource Teacher Adair County High School will be recognizing those students who scored proficient and distinguished on the 2008 CATS test by holding an Awards Day Celebration, on April 28, 2009, at ACHS, 526 Indian Drive, Columbia, KY. This is the third year for the awards day at ACHS and the third year Don Franklin and other local business have contributed toward the student incentives program. "Don Franklin Ford has been a valuable contributor toward the goal of building student achievement at Adair County High School." Principal Troy Young, said, after the high school received the gift. The Franklin family has donated a car as an incentive for those students who have excelled on the CATS testing each of the three years ACHS has held the awards day. Since the beginning of the incentive program at ACHS, community businesses have worked in collaboration with the ACHS staff by donating generously to the incentives program. We would like to express our appreciation to the Franklin family as well as all other community members and businesses who work with us in providing student motivation to achieve academic excellence. There will be a complete listing of business and community members who donated to the awards day the week prior to the CATS Awards Celebration.
