The funeral services for Mr. Edward Warren Perkins will be conducted at 1:00pmCT, Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 South Main Street, Greensburg, KY. with burial to follow in the Ennis-Perkins Cemetery. Bro. Eudell Stilts will be officiating.



Mr. Edward Warren Perkins of Greensburg, KY, son of the late James Underwood Perkins and Una Verna McAllister Perkins, was born on May 2, 1921 in Green County, KY, and departed this life on Friday, April 10, 2009 at the Caverna Memorial Hospital in Horse Cave, KY. He was 87 years, 11 months and eight days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. He was a self-employed carpenter, and was a WWII veteran having served in the United States Navy.

He united in marriage to Mildred Gentry, who survives, on December 27, 1947.

He is further survived by the following:
  • A daughter and son-in-law: Janice and Gilbert Curry, Edmonton, KY

  • A granddaughter: Kyla Sharee Curry, Edmonton, KY

  • A brother: Raywood Perkins , Green County

  • A sister: Margie Cook, Center, KY

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Perkins was also preceded in death by a grandchild: Kerra Cheslea Curry; a brother: Odell Perkins; and a sister: Hazel Lowe.

PALLBEARERS: Charlie Houk, Troy Arnett, Jerry Lynn Scott, Winfred Simpson, Bobby Arnett, Barry Arnett, Roscoe Janes, and Larry Dicken.
