(ADV) A confession, a remarkable revelation, from P. Rad Creator of famed Dairy Dip chili finally recognized, given Columbia Dairy Dip Giants of Adair County Culinary Arts Hall of Fame status. Confession received near last midnight, at 11:21pmCT, Monday, April 13, 2009 To What's Cooking in Adair Co., KY at CM Well folks, since Old Man Winter or whoever this Old Kodger is, isn't giving up, neither are we!! We've dusted the recipes off and will be serving our Famous Potato soup and pinto beans w/ REAL country ham on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. Remember both hearty soups come assisted w/ a side of cornbread. If this weather continues, I must call my contact who so generously "loaned" me his chili recipe. I feel obliged at this point to drop a name or two. This Out of This World Chili recipe, along with the hearty vegetable soup recipe, came from none other than Dr. Ronald "Butch" Rogers! Dr. Rogers is now inducted the Columbia Dairy Dip Giants of Adair County Culinary Arts Hall of Fame status, right up there among the gods of gastronomy including Merle Pete Reed. A need to call Dr. Rogers, I confess, is to beg for another copy of the chili recipe. I've apparently lost mine! I probably should put him on a retainer, copyright the thing and all that good stuff so he doesn't share with anyone else! s/Phyllis R. Willis The Columbia Dairy Dip, 114 Jamestown ST, Columbia, KY Phone (270) 384-4644. This story was posted on 2009-04-14 05:58:21
