Jaycees 2009 Annual Easter Egg hunt drew 300-350 children

The 2009 Adair County Jaycees Easter Egg Hunt day started out early with clouds but when it came time for the grand hunt the sun come out to welcome the hunters as well as the Easter Bunny.

Somewhere between 300 and 350 children came to the Adair County Fairgrounds to have a chance to find the eggs that had been hidden. The Jaycees gave out over 400 bags of cotton candy and 300 hot dogs and drinks free to the children while the supply lasted.


Prizes ranged from sunglasses, pom poms, hats, cd players, to bicycles.

The Jay Cee's would like to thank those in the community that helped to put on this event. The Jay Cee's would also like to that Bam Carney, Ann Melton, Shelia Blair, H & H Building Contractors, Thomas Photography, Ernie Rogers with Farm Bureau, Michelle Lewis with Farm Bureau, David Martin with Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, and WAIN 93.5 for the items they all donated.
