Jaycees Annual Easter Egg Hunt is today, Sat., April 11, 2009 Adair County is filled with Easter Egg hunts, Easter Events today. See EVENTS for details on everything going on today. Contact/Submit By Linda Waggener The Adair County Jaycees' annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place today, Saturday, April 11, 2009, at 11:00amCT, at the Adair County Fairgounds, Fairgrounds ST near the Young ST intersection, Columbia, KY. As always, the Giant Easter Bunny will be at the Fairgrounds to the delight of children of all ages. The Big Rabbit always makes it to Columbia for the Jaycees Egg Hunt, even when if it is snowing, as it did on April 7, 2007, when an April snow kept people wrapped up, but didn't diminish the turn out one bit. The event just keeps getting bigger and bigger, like Harvey, Jimmy Stewart's rabbit.There will be free cotton candy, soft drinks, and hot dogs while supplies last. Every child will get a prize "Every child will get a prize," Greg Thomas, one of the organizers said. "No child will have to go home empty-handed." The hunt wil be divided into four age groups:
