Reader wants information on Pike kin in Adair, Taylor Cos., KY About: "John Ely Pike Civil War veteran from Cane Valley Adair Co KY" from Jim Allison To ColumbiaMagazine.com: I read the article from Jim Allison. I have been researching my mother's side of the family. She was Alline Pike from Adair County. Her father was John Welby Pike and grandfather was Samuel Henry Pike, great grandfather was this John Ely Pike. I saw where Jim Allison had included a picture and was wondering how I could get any information and the picture about any of the Pikes. I was born and grew up in Taylor County, still get out to Campbellsville and Columbia to see kin folks 4-5 times a year or more. Would like any help you can give me. Thanks,s/Doris Jean Hogan Temple Thanks. Perhaps a reader will know more and will post it on ColumbiaMagazine.com or post a notice that it is available. Also, we suggest checking REUNIONS for genealogical information, including information on the wonderful Adair County Generalogical Society and its membership publication, "The Adair County Review." -CM This story was posted on 2009-04-04 16:55:10
