Teresa Roy: Bookstore/Coffeeshop is 'Neat Idea'

About: David Grigsby: A proposal for the Old Adair Courthouse

To ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I've been thinking of starting a bookstore with maybe a coffee shop theme or at least geared to family with a special nook for children when I retire from school, which will be as soon as I can figure out something to do with my days.

I often visit a bookstore in Louisville which has not only full price items and books, but also many lower priced second-hand books for sale.

I love the section layouts and the special corner for children. They also have wonderful, big, old chairs placed around and small cafe tables in front to sit at and read.

I'm trying to get up the nerve to start a business and I've been thinking of places around town that it might fit in best.

I'd never considered the courthouse as a possible place but have often wished the old beautiful building could be used for something.

Neat idea.

s/Teresa Roy
