Lila Ford is working on two installments for Glensfork, KY Related: "Letter: Wants more posts like the Cane Valley history" To ColumbiaMagazine.com I now am working on typing the History of Glensfork, KY that Mr. Welcome Hamon gave the Adair County Review to print in 1992 and 1993 issues. It is pretty big. so expect it in two parts. I am also sending some information on the Adair County Review, our quarterly publication, and about membership in the Adair County Genealogical Society. Those who have enjoyed the Cane Valley article and look forward to the one on Glensfork on ColumbiaMagazine.com would find membership in the society a rewarding endeavor, and would find the Review with it's many articles such as "Cane Valley" and "Glensfork," more than worth the $15 dues, whether they can be active or not. Details on the Review and the AC Genealogical Society The Adair County Review is a quarterly publication of the Adair County Genealogical Society, it is received by all members of the Society. It is published in the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. Membership is open to anyone interested in the preservation of history of Adair County and the surrounding counties of Casey, Cumberland, Green, Metcalfe, Russell and Taylor. Annual dues are $15.00. Membership renewal is due in January of each year. Meetings are held at the Adair County Public Library, 307 Greensburg St. Columbia, KY, on the first Monday night of each month, at 6:00pmCT. For more information about the Adair County Genealogical Society call the Adair County Public Library at (270) 384-2472 or contact Lila Ford at lila607@yahoo.com. s/LILA FORD This story was posted on 2009-04-01 18:15:01
