LWC Women's Golf Team finishes in top 3 at Persimmon Ridge Krista Burton leads Raiders with nine over par 81 By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Lindsey Wilson College women's golf team finished third today at the Bellarmine University, Louisville, KY, Women's Invitational at Persimmon Ridge. The Blue Raiders shot a team-total of 657 (323-334) and finished behind winner Southern Indiana University (647) and second place finisher NCAA Division II Northern Kentucky University (650). Lindsey Wilson's Krista Burton led the Blue Raiders with a nine-over par 81 finishing third overall with a two day stroke total of 160. The tournament leader was Jess Dooley of Southern Indiana. Dooley shot a combined total of 156 (75-81).Sophomore Chelsey Key finished sixth with a stroke total of 161 (78-83). Junior Jessica Smith shot a 167 (82-85), senior Aline Decker trailed right behind with a 169 (84-85) and freshman Paola Gonzalez finished with a 173 (84-89).
