April Fool's Day comes early in Whitewood, Green Co., KY Click on headline for complete story with photo By Cindy Meyer ColumbiaMagazine.com Sycamore Springs, Adair-Green Co., KY frontier correspondent Hello again, still reading ColumbiaMagazine.com from the far corners of the county. With April Fools Day just around the corner. I thought I'd pass on this photo of a Daffodil snatched from the yard of Mrs. Eliza Perkins who lives in the Whitewood Community of Green County, KY. Ms Perkins who was completely unaware that the Daffodil was plucked from her very own yard was heard to say... " Those are so pretty, I never have seen a Daffodil quite like that. I sure would like to have a few of those bulbs." Her son David could not hold his amusement, chuckled and said, "Mom, those are your Daffodils, we just added food coloring to the water, and they absorbed it through the stems." It was an elementary school Science experiment with a slight twist rekindled as a prelude to a Perfect April Fool Joke. This story was posted on 2009-03-28 04:41:02
