Adair Co. Extension office will offer a thistle spraying program The Kentucky Department of Agricultuture and Adair County Cooperative Extension Serivce will be offering a Thistle Spraying Program to the residents of Adair County. Adair County has been allotted 200 acres. Producers who wish to participate in this program must provide a tractor, driver, water and the chemical (2 qts/ac of 2,4-D) and the Department of Agriculture will provide the sprayer. If you are interested in participating in this program, please contact the Adair County Extension Office at (270) 384-2317. Nick Roy, Adair County Extension Agent for Agriculture & Natural Resources, 409 Fairgounds Street, Columbia, KY. The office hours are are as follows: Monday through Friday: Mornings: 8:00amCT to 12:00pm Noon CT. Closed for one hour 12:00pm-1:00pm. Afternoons: 1:00pmCT to 4:00pmCT. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
