Web 101, 5Ws + H" Last minute checks from Rudyard Kipling

For events, photo captions, and stories, the last minute check is from web reporting instructions written in 1902 by Rudyard Kipling, his six honest serving men: Who, What, Where, When, Why, and How.

Always ask, Who? What? Where? (Rudyard Kipling wanted street numbers and street for navigational purposes; and he would have wanted it noted if the number is not posted on the venu) along with City and State; When (ex: at 9:00amCT, Friday, March 27, 2009), Why? and How?

When those questions are satisfactorily answered, Rudyard Kipling would then, and only then, click "Send" to ColumbiaMagazine.com.

He would have sent it properly capitalized (never in all caps), in narrative form, in ColumbiaMagazine.com format, we're sure.

And he would never have sent the submission in more than one email including jpg attachments and all faces identified. Nor would he have sent it as a poster unless it were to be paid advertising, and he wouldn't have asked ColumbiaMagazine.com to publicize for free while paying for publicity elsewhere in print, on t-shirts, billboards, flyers, Tv or cable, or yard sales, realizing that he would be reaching more people by ColumbiaMagazine.com than by any other means.

That's just the kind of guy he was.
