Two injured when school bus overturns in Casey Co., KY

The driver and a passenger aboard a 2006 International School Bus were taken to Casey County Hospital in Liberty, KY, following a single vehicle accident on KY 1547, seven miles west of Liberty, KY.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:54pmET, Monday, March 9, 2009. Sandra K. Sneed, 54, Liberty, KY, was northbound on KY 1547 when the school bus ran off the righ shoulder of the roadway. The driver lost control, causing the school bus to overturn.



Sneed was wearing a seatbelt. She was transported to Casey County Hospital as was a passenger, Kernetta Evans, 51, Dunnville, KY, who was not wearing a seatbelt.

The incident was investigated by Trooper John Barnett, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
