  1. If you charge, we charge, is the basic rule of thumb.
  2. If the event is for food sales with a set price, whether the price is advertised or otherwise, there is a charge for publicizing on ColumbiaMagazine.com.Generally, potlucks and donation only food sales are free unless paid advertising is purchased elsewhere.
  3. If the event or announcement is publicized with paid advertising of any kind, anywhere including: Newspaper, shopper, billboard or human billboard/T-shirt), yard sign, bumper sticker, printed flyer or poster, radio, cable, Tv, advertising, there is a charge for publicizing the event or announcement on ColumbiaMagazine.com
  4. "Free" events at a commercial venues are considered advertising. Example, a famous vehicle at a dealership, a "free" entertainment at a store or restaurant.
  5. If the event or announcement is for a service, item, or event similar to one already advertised on ColumbiaMagazine.com, there is a charge for the announcement.
  6. If the sale has one direct or indirect commercial beneficiary we charge. i.e. Doughnuts for sale; t-shirts, brand name fundraiser merchandise
  7. If the notice involves a web link, there will usually a charge for inclusion on ColumbiaMagazine.com.
  8. If the notice involves a "franchised" "charity," with heavy overhead (over 20% of funds raised going to administrative costs), there may be a charge for events carried on ColumbiaMagazine.com.
  9. Cards of thanks which specify names of commercial entitites may be charged at $1.00 per name.
