LWC students raise more than $200 for RFL By Duane Bonifer, LWC Director of Public Affairs The Lindsey Wilson College Student Activities Office made sure recently that the LWC community heard more than a Who when it comes to fighting cancer. The LWC Student Activities Board recently raised more than $200 for the Adair County Relay For Life, an annual event that raises money for cancer research. The LWC SAB sold sponsorships from one cent to more than $20 to members of the LWC community. The sponsorships were called "Horton Hears a Who," inspired by the children's story of the same name by the late Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel. Actually, the highest sponsorship was a $20.01 donation from Assistant Dean of Students Curt Lee. And a big chunk of the donations also came from the LWC women's basketball team, who raised about $80 from their February 26, 2009, game against Campbellsville (KY) University, played at Biggers Sports Center.
