KSP Post 15 monthly activity report, Feb. 2009

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY

During the month of February, 2009, there were 30 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.




There were two fatalities:
  • Voorheis, William H. Jr.; Springfield, Kentucky, was killed in Washington County on February 13, 2009
  • Padilla-Martinez, Jose F.; Lexington, Kentucky, was killed in Washington County on February 10, 2009
This brings our yearly fatality count to 7 compared with 8 through this same period in 2008.

State wide fatality count stands at 96 compared with 104 through this same period in 2008.

During the month of February, 2009, there were 1061 citations written, 213 courtesy notices written, 1.0,082 vehicles inspected, 793 complaints answered, 97 motorists assisted, 66 criminal cases opened and 438 criminal arrests made.
