No. 18-ranked Lindsey Wilson (22-7, 7-5 in the Mid-South Conference) trailed nearly the entire first half thanks to St. Catharine junior forward Arthur Latham. Latham scored 18 of his game-high 26 points in the first half, giving St. Catharine (5-24, 1-11) a three point lead at the half (35-32). The Blue Raiders turned it on in the second half going on a 22-6 run in the early stages which gave Lindsey Wilson a 10 point lead (53-43). Junior guard Eric McPherson scored 16 of his 23 points during that span. In the closing minutes the Blue Raiders stretched their lead to 14, the biggest of the game, and sealed the victory 77-63. The Lindsey Wilson reserves outscored St. Catharine 25-13, led by junior center Paki Brown's 10 points. The Blue Raiders shot 90.5 percent (19-of-21) from the free-throw line, including 17-of-18 in the second half. Before the game seniors Quintez Thomas and Sam Walton were honored as the graduating class of 2009. Walton scored 15 points on 7-of-8 shooting and Thomas chipped in with six points and four assists.
