LWC Women's Golf signs Kelsey Joslyn for 2009-10 Boyle County High possesses talents to be All-American, Coach Wells says. By John Hanneman, LWC sports writer DANVILLE, Ky. -- Kelsey Joslyn has signed a national letter-of-intent to play golf next season at Lindsey Wilson College. The Boyle County High School product finished her senior season in the fall with a 78 scoring average. Coach Chris Wells is excited about the prospect of having Joslyn play for Lindsey Wilson. "Kelsey is the type of student-athlete we want in our program," Wells said. "She has a tremendous work ethic and a quite drive that will serve her well both in the classroom and on the course. "She has all the tools to be an All-American while helping our program continue to compete for a national championship on a yearly basis." Low score average for her high school team Joslyn was the low score average for her high school team the past four seasons and was named captain during her junior season. She also was named a scholar athlete in 2007. "Coach Wells was so enthusiastic about winning and it got me interested right away," Joslyn said. "Lindsey Wilson is one of the best teams in the NAIA and all the girls made me feel at home on my campus visit. I plan on working my hardest and improving my game everyday over the next four years." Joslyn finished tied for 23rd at the 2008 Kentucky High School Athletic Association Girls' State Tournament. She shot a two-day total of 166 (82-84) at Bowling Green Country Club. Kelsey, the daughter of Dale and Toni Joslyn, plans on majoring in biology when arriving on campus in the fall. LWC enters spring season ranked No. 5 in NAIA Lindsey Wilson finished the fall season with three wins and a second place finish in its four tournaments. The Blue Raiders enter the spring season ranked No. 5 after the NAIA Fall Rankings conducted in December. The Blue Raiders Women Golfers open their season March 30-31 at the Bellarmine (KY) University Invitational at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club in Louisville, KY.
