Letter: LWC alum suggests new name for Pinewood About: " Open house at Pinewood Country Club" Ed, I look forward to a long article which will outline all the planned improvements to the golf course; e.g., upgrading the carts, overseeding the fairways, tees and greens, improving the traps, sprinkling systems and large improvements to the pool and bath house. Here is hoping that it is the signature course for 50 miles around---make that 100 miles around! With new owners, new purpose and new direction, I suggest a new name. One that is befitting the new, progressive Columbia and Lindsey Wilson College. Of course, there will be a new logo to sell golfing paraphernalia and to adorn the LWC golfing team uniforms as they become the perennial NAIA National Champs! Signed: An ole alum with too much time on his hands but with good wishes for Columbia and Lindsey as they continue to grow and prosper! This story was posted on 2009-02-24 02:22:47
