Obituary: Joseph M. Simpson, 67, Columbia, KY

Mr. Simpson was a member of a respected family and was a member of the Beulah Chapel Brethren in Christ Church

Joseph M. Simpson, 67, 1204 Taylor Ford Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at 5:15amCT at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at 1:00pmCT at Haven Hill Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY, with burial to follow. Bro Clifton Bennett is the officiating clergy.There will be no visitation at the funeral home.



He was born February 14, 1942, the son of the late Sam and Orthie Gaskins Simpson.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Simpson, of Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: Jason Simpson, Columbia, KY

  • One daughter: Tammy Ellis and her husband Robert, Columbia, KY

  • One sister: Nadine Bingaman, of Wilmington, OH

  • Six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
