US 68 two vehicle crash near Greensburg, KY results in fatality A two vehicle crash on Thursday, February 19, 2009, on US 68 2.5 miles west of Greensburg, KY resulted in the death of a passenger in one car, injury to one driver, and the driver of the other vehicle being flown to the University of Louisville for treatment of his injuries. John P. Greene, 46, Russell Springs, was operating a 1994 Ford ranger eastbound on US 68, 2.5 miles east of Greensburg, KY, when he crossed the center line, entered the westbound lane, and struck a 2006 Toyota being operated by Sheila Martinez, 55, Greensburg, KY. Martinez was treated and released at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg, KY, for minor injuries. A passenger in her car, Russell A. Greenway, 51, Greensburg, KY, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Green County Coroner. Greene was transported to the University of Louisville. Criminal Charges are pending against Greene.
