Birds of Kentucky: Geese in red-eye flight from Pinewood

2009-02-14 - Pinewood Country Club, Columbia, KY - Photo by Ed Waggener.
FOUR of NINE GEESE settled in at Pinewood Country Club's lake this morning at around 6:45amCT, took flight at the approach of a photographer. Observer Charles Marshall reported that the geese have been hanging out at Pinewood the last few days. The lake is located on the backside of the course, next to the Columbia-Adair County Airport. They are magnificent creatures, well worth a drive out to see. Better ID than "geese" welcome. A Today, Saturday, February 14, 2009 feature photo
