Letter: Scary Tree on TRAYLOR, not Trailer, Hill About: Scary Tree To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Since it (Traylor Hill) is named after my grandfather and my uncle, the late J.P. Traylor and Noah C. Traylor, respectively, it is TRAYLOR Hill, not Trailer Hill. s/Mike Akin Thanks, Mike Akin, for prompting the correction, which is now made. Which brings to mind two of the most famous Traylors, Melvin Alvah Traylor, born at Breeding, KY, and who was the Illinois favorite son choice for the Democratic nomination for President in 1932; and fittingly during the Great Backyard Bird Count, his son, Melvin Alvha Traylor, Jr. an American ornithologist who died one year ago, on February 11, 2008.
