WITH SITE SHAPING WORK on the Lindsey Wilson Athletic Complex going at a full speed Friday, February 6, 2009, a Pyles Excavating sweeper was kept in almost constant use clearing Hanley Lane, one of the access points to the sports center. Mike Newton, who is in charge of all the construction now in progress at Lindsey Wilson College, expects the baseball field to be complete in 2-4 weeks. The complex will include Lindsey Wilson's Football Stadium, where Coach Chris Oliver's Blue Raiders will take the field on September 4, 2010. Newton projects the football stadium to be complete in June-July, 2010. The complex will face the Louie B. Nunn Parkway, and will be accessible from Gaston Avenue and Russell Road as well as Hanley Lane.

Along with the football program, Lindsey Wilson will add a marching band program, to be headed by Tim Allen, the legendary leader of the Adair County Marching band. "I told him we'd be able to cheer for a great football team and have the best half-time show in the NAIA, and that I was certainly looking forward there September 4, 2010," referring to the first game for the Blue Raiders.
