Driver airlifted from scene of Clinton crash

A collision occurred at 12:25pm, February 6, 2009, three miles north of Albany, on KY 90 resulted in the driver of one vehicle being airlifted from the scene to UK Medical Center. A small passenger was taken to Clinton County Hospital in Albany, KY.

An unknown driver was operating the other vehicle, a 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier westbound on KY 90.



Larry Thompson, 29, Albany, was operating a 1997 Ford F-150, was northbound on US 127. The 1996 Cavalier with the unknown driver struck the Thompson vehicle in the side, fled the scene, and has not been located.Larry Thompson was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, KY. A passenger in the Thompson vehicle, Dayton Thompson, 6, Albany, KY, was admitted to the Clinton County Hospital in Albany. No seatbelts were in use.
