Obituary: Virgie Furkin, 89 Mrs. Furkin was a member of a large South Adair County family, a member of the Antioch United Methodist Church, and a homemaker Virgie Furkin, 89, 1548 Sparksville Road, Columbia, Ky. passed awayThursday, February 5, 2009, at 9:45pmCT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Columbia, KY. The funeral service will be Sunday, February 8, 2009, at 1:00pmCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY with Bro. Stanley Watson the officiating clergy. Interment in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation is after 2:30pmCT, Saturday, February 7, 2009, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. She was born September 3, 1919, the daughter of the late Lonnie and Lou Sarah Stotts Rowe and was the widow of John Henry Furkin, who preceded her in death on November 29, 1975. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Tony Grider. Survived by the following:
