A Giant Boom lent an added element to the skyline of Columbia during construction work on Wednesday, January 21, 2009. The huge, 35,000 s.f. Adair Justice Center now occupies all its intended eye space in the photo. CJE Ann Melton said that the building is going well, but maybe approximately 30 days behind schedule.

KEEPING AN EYE KY 61 CONSTRUCTION: Citizen Watch Construction Superintendents Steve Campbell, foreground, and Mark Parrish are carefully monitoring construction on the most dramatic stretch of road in Adair County: the 5.994 mile stretch of KY 61 between Sparksville, KY, and a point just south of the KY 61/LBN Pkwy interchange. Their regular reports on the road given at the Flatwoods store.
