Letter: Kentucky should impose rules on police speeding To ColumbiaMagazine.com: Illinois lawmakers have introduced a bill that requires all police vehicles that are exceeding the posted speed limit to have their sirens on and lights flashing. This should be introduced here in Kentucky since most law enforcement feel that the law does not pertain to them! I observe officers exceeding the speed limit all the time. I have even been told by a police officer that this is one of the perks of the job! I think we as citizens and technically their bosses since their motto is to serve and protect, should demand a better example! s/Allen Owens This story was posted on 2009-01-18 00:53:48
