Global Warming began in Great Falls, Montana, in July, 1969? Swing in temperature in 7 months was 149 degrees (F.) between December 68 and July 1969 To ColumbiaMagazine.com In December of 1968 I was in the Air Force in Great Falls, Montana. The temperature fell to 43 degrees below zero two nights in a row. Just so happens I cooked deer steaks both nights on my grill positioned outside my picture window. Of course I did it just to be able to say I did. The next July the temperature reached 106 in Great Falls. I suppose that was the beginning of global warming. If my memory serves, I think the temperature stayed below freezing for twenty some days in a row and zero sounded warm. s/Charles Marshburn Two notes: 1) Mr. Marshburn did not state whether this is written from his tractor this morning. 2) Does anybody remember the day when Columbia, KY, had the coldest temperature in the Lower 48? I remember being fifth in line in the chow line at Ft. Knox, KY, and a radio up ahead made the announcement. I was sure that chow line was 50 degrees lower. -EW This story was posted on 2009-01-16 07:13:26
