LWC Women's Basketball routs Midway 89-55 in MSC tune-up Sophomore sensation Viktoria Krell records 10th double-double. Three Blue Raiders score in double figures. Second victory over Midway this season By Chris Wells, LWC Sports Information Director COLUMBIA, KY - Three Lindsey Wilson College women's basketball players scored in double figures to help the Blue Raiders to an 89-55 win over visiting Midway (KY) College on Thursday at Biggers Sports Center. Sophomore center Viktoria Krell recorded her 10th double-double of the season with 24 points and 10 rebounds, junior guard Sierra Rambert scored 17 points and sophomore forward Bethany Spillman added 15 points to help the Blue Raiders (14-4) complete the season sweep of the Midway. Lindsey Wilson beat the Eagles (1-13) 75-52 on December 3, 2008 at Midway.Midway jumped out to an 11-2 lead three minutes into the game before the Blue Raiders mounted their comeback. Lindsey Wilson scored 17 straight points over a five minute span to turn a nine point deficit into a 27-19 lead. Midway closed within four (29-25) but could get no closer as the Blue Raiders closed the first half with a 9-2 run to take a 45-31 lead into the break. The Blue Raiders extended their lead to as many as 35 points in the second half en route to the 89-55 win. Lindsey Wilson dominated on both ends. The Blue Raiders made half (32-of-64) of their shots and out-scored the Eagles 44-16 in the paint. On the defensive end, LWC forced Midway into 25 miscues and 31.3 percent (20-of-64) from the field. Midway's Jackie Hicks lead the Eagles with 17 points.
